3D Image Creation A-Z

Hi everyone. In this series of tutorials we will go through the creation process of Red/Cyan 3D images. If you've watched my previous video hopefully you already have a pair of stylin' custom 3D glasses.

The first video will take you through the process of shooting two stereoscopic images in order to created the 3D image.

The second video will show you the editing process using Adobe Photoshop.

Finally the third will show you the editing process using the freeware GIMP.

Bad hosting for GIMP Templates

So, it has recently come to my attention that the GIMP template for the 3d glasses is currently unavailable(thanks Ed). Do not know why. So any who, I'm currently looking for a new file hosting site so any suggestions are appreciated. Looking into tumbler. Any way, for now, anyone using GIMP can download and use the Photoshop file. It should still work fine, you will just need to click the 'Design Layer' and then add a new layer on top of that and edit on that layer. Sorry for any inconvenience. Trying to fix the problem. More videos coming soon. Woot!

DIY 3D Anaglyph Glasses

In this video I will show you how to make a homemade pair of 3D Anaglyph (Red/Cyan) glasses. Although there are great places to buy very nice Red/Cyan 3D glasses (see below) it's easy to make your own. Please realize that these DIY glasses will not be as good as true 3D glasses but they will suffice and they are the right price.

To make life easier I have created a template for Photoshop and a basic jpeg template as well. The Photoshop file has a great mask built in for custom designs. As I do not have web-space right now they are hosted on megaupload.com Please visit the 'Shared Files' page of my blog to download these files.

Buy them instead of making them? Sure thing....
